Joy is the CONFIDENCE that I possess by knowing and TRUSTING God regardless of the CIRCUMSTANCE.
I have told you this so that my joy may be in you and that your joy may be complete. John 15:11
Joy is the result of LOVING and OBEYING God.
Joy is POSSIBLE because of the COMPLETED work of Jesus on the CROSS.
“I assure you: You will weep and wail, but the world will rejoice. You will become sorrowful, but your
sorrow will turn to joy. When a woman is in labor she has pain because her time has come. But when
she has given birth to a child, she no longer remembers the suffering because of the joy that a person has
been born into the world. So you also have sorrow now. But I will see you again. Your hearts will rejoice,
and no one will rob you of your joy. In that day you will not ask Me anything. “I assure you: Anything
you ask the Father in My name, He will give you. Until now you have asked for nothing in My name. Ask and you will receive, so that your joy may be complete.
Joy is something we RECEIVE not EARN.
Rejoice in the Lord always. I will say it again: Rejoice! Let your graciousness be known to everyone. The Lord is near. 6 Don’t worry about anything, but in
everything, through prayer and petition with thanksgiving, let your requests be made known to God. Philippians 4:4-5
Joy and WORRY never COEXIST.
And the peace of God, which surpasses every thought, will guard your hearts and minds in Christ Jesus.
Finally brothers, whatever is true, whatever is honorable, whatever is just, whatever is pure, whatever
is lovely, whatever is commendable—if there is any moral excellence and if there is any praise—dwell on
these things. Philippians 4:7-8
